  8. I believe someone requested a recipe for gingerbread ... here is my
  9. grandmother's version I have used since I was a little girl.  It is
  10. spicier than some, but is very good.

  13. GINGERBREAD

  15. 2 eggs                          1 tsp. allspice
  16. 3/4 cup brown sugar             3 tsp. ginger
  17. 3/4 cup molasses                3 tsp. cinnamon
  18. 3/4 cup melted crisco           1/2 tsp cloves
  19. 2 1/2 cups flour                1 tsp nutmeg
  20. 2 tsp. baking soda              2 tsp. pummpkin pie spice
  21. 1/2 tsp. baking powder          1 cup boiling water
  22.  
  23. Add beaten eggs to sugar, syrup and melted crisco.  Sift dry
  24. ingredients and add to egg mixture.  Lastly, add boiling water
  25. and mix well.  Pour into greased and floured bundt pan and bake
  26. at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
